Kylix is a boutique travel company specializing in culturally immersive travel, founded by lifelong best friends, Kirsten and Kim.

In an age of over-tourism, we believe travel should foster genuine connection and immersive experiences rather than simply checking destinations off a list. Our mission is to connect travelers with the history, culture, traditions, and people that shape each place.

Kirsten is a visual artist and co-founder of Kylix with a background in art history. Her work and aesthetic sensibility are deeply informed by architecture, material culture, and global craft traditions. She draws inspiration from Gaudí, Gaetano Pesce, Édouard Vuillard, Rodin, as well as outsider art and folk traditions from around the world.

Kim is an opera singer turned travel designer and co-founder of Kylix. Her operatic pursuits immersed her in multilingual repertoire, leading her to develop fluency in Spanish and Italian, and an ongoing passion for language learning. She brings a lifelong love of music, language, and cultural immersion into her work. Her approach to travel is shaped by her interests in philosophy, astrology and yoga.
